Trappers Head Coach returns to old form to win 2nd Annual Hawaiian Bowling Tournament

The North Bay Jr. Trappers had a fun-filled afternoon during their 3 game western road trip  to take part in the 2ndAnnual Hawaiian Bowling Tourney at the Northcrest Lanes in Sault Ste. Marie.

The winner this year, and surprisingly with a lot of tough talk and experienced chatter about his game on the hardwood with a score of 148 was Head Coach Tom McCarthy who now hold the Hawaiian bragging rights until this time next season.  Goalie Dustin Hummel won the award of best dressed  in the tournament while Corbin Bean was named the most honest bowler this year, however Bean has lodged a protest due to a score clock malfunction that will be heard at a team tribunal held later this evening.

Honourable mention goes to last year’s tournament champion and team bus driver Mr. Ken Pawson, who struggled out of the gate early this year, but once again finished strong displaying tremendous forum in the late frames.

The Trappers will exchange their Hawaiian shirts for Trappers road red tonight as they face the

Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds.  Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Essar Centre
