3-assist night for Adams as Beavers skate past Wildcats

ELLIOT LAKE, Ont. – The Blind River Beavers picked up three assists from Lucas Adams Saturday evening to help them skate past the Elliot Lake Wildcats 6-2 in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League contest held at Centennial Arena.

Blind River got the early jump in the contest as Ethan Graham collected his fourth of the season at 6:44.

Elliot Lake answered though before the first frame was complete as Josh Bifolchi knocked in his 10th at 18:51.

Moving on to the second stanza, the Beavers went back on top thanks to the power play as Riley Nadeau picked up his 10th tally with helpers going to Dante Cavaliere and Adams.

The Wildcats drew level once more midway through the night as Bifolchi scored once more for the home side.

Blind River came back and connected twice later in the period as Ryan Peck and Caleb Serre both tallied to put the visitors up 4-2 after two.

The Beavers then put the game away in the third on markers from Ryan Mulligan at even strength and Sam Harris, shorthanded, to complete the road triumph.

With a goal and an assist, Serre extended an impressive point streak to 11 straight outings.

Starting in net for Blind River, Garret Boyonoski made 29 saves to pick up the win while Wildcats goaltender Justin Vertesi faced 41 shots in defeat.
