GALLERY: Blind River finishes road trip 2-0-1 with Saturday win at Timmins

TIMMINS, Ont. – A Ryan Peck power play goal with 11:33 remaining in regulation was the difference as the Blind River Beavers held off the Timmins Rock 4-3 Saturday evening in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League match-up at McIntyre Arena.

Blind River, who also won in Hearst Friday, fell behind in Timmins when Matt Capisciolto collected his fifth of the season 5:53 into the contest.

The Beavers got that back though before the first frame was complete when Tyler Nott notched the equalizer at 17:12.

Ryan Mulligan put the visitors in front 24 seconds into the middle stanza and he then added his second of the period and fifth overall three minutes later during a Blind River power play chance.

Battling back in the third, the Rock moved to within one during a man advantage of their own as Josh Dickson connected for his second at 3:30.

Back to even strength, Timmins tied it just over a minute later with Capisciolto adding another to give him six on the campaign.

However, up a skater a number of shifts later, Peck provided the decider at 8:27 as his effort proved to be the night’s final tally.

Timmins did hold the edge in shots on goal by a 37-25 margin with Garret Boyonoski picking up the win while Nicholas Dicks suffered the defeat.
