Blind River Beavers, NOJHL mourn loss of Randy Cada

Sudbury – It’s with heavy hearts that the Blind River Beavers and the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League regretfully announce the sudden and tragic passing of their long-time trainer Randy Cada as a result of a fishing accident on Thursday, April 17.

Cada served as Blind River’s team trainer for many years and was an active and respected volunteer for the Beavers and within his community.

He also served as Parole and Probation Officer for the Mississauga First Nation for many years.

“On behalf of the entire Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, we offer our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Randy’s family on the loss of a great man,” said NOJHL Commissioner Robert Mazzuca.

“Randy embodied what it was like to be a dedicated family man and hockey volunteer. He’ll be greatly missed.”

Friends may call at the Mississauga First Nation Sports Complex on Wednesday, April 23 from 1 p.m. until time of story sharing and reflections on Randy’s Life on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 9 a m.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mississauga First Nation Sports Complex.
