CJHL launches new online network

CALGARY, Alta. — The Canadian Junior Hockey League is proud to introduce a new online network for the CJHL and its three Regional Championships.

The new CJHL site includes national headlines, event news, unique CJHL content, and for the first time – national statistics in the areas of league leaders and top goaltenders.

The new website for the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada, Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup and Fred Page Cup Eastern Canada Jr. A championships are currently in development.

The three Regional championships will each have live real-time stats, exclusive events news, consistent design and improved user experience.

The CJHL partnered with Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. to successfully create the custom networked content management website for its day to day operations and three regional Championships.

“One of the main priorities of the CJHL is to raise the profile and awareness of Jr. A hockey regionally, nationally and across North America, and our digital strategy is paramount to achieving that goal,” stated CJHL President, Kirk Lamb.

“Pointstreak is established, well-known and experienced, has a solid hockey background, and offers a wide variety of digital tools, all of which made them a natural partner for what we are trying to do on and off the ice.”

In addition to powering the main CJHL website, the CJHL will be utilizing Pointstreak Sites’ content management platform and Pointstreak Stats for its regional championships.

The Pointstreak platforms will streamline the process of capturing and delivering real-time content of those game events to the league and championship websites for the benefit of all interested stakeholders be it players, fans, and media partners,” added Lamb.

A unique feature of Pointstreak’s networked content management platform is the ability to provide seamless transfer of content.
