Elliot Lake to be dubbed the Wildcats

ELLIOT LAKE — The Executive Board of the Elliot Lake Junior A Hockey Organization is pleased to announce that the team has been named the Elliot Lake Wildcats.

The Wildcats look forward to representing Elliot Lake and making their mark in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

A team logo will be released in the coming days.

The Wildcats join the Powassan Voodoos as one of two expansion franchises in the NOJHL this season, which will feature a total of nine teams taking to the ice to start the 2014-15 season.

With nine clubs, it marks the highest number of teams in league history in any one year in the league.
