SUDBURY, Ont. – National Hockey League Central Scouting released its initial Players to Watch List, as a prelude to the 2025 NHL Draft, and last season’s Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Rookie of the Year, Noah Tegelaar, is among those tabbed.
The former Blind River Beavers standout goaltender was slotted with a ‘W Rating’, which currently indicates him as a potential sixth or seventh round selection by NHLCS.
Last season with the Beavers, Tegelaar led all NOJHL netminders in wins; goals-against average; save percentage and shutouts at 27; 2.02; .928 and six, respectively.
Along with his top rookie laurels, the 18-year-old Georgetown, Ont., product was also named a NOJHL 1st Team All-Star.
Tegelaar is currently a member of the defending Centennial Cup champion Collingwood Blues (OJHL) where he sits No. 1 in average (1.57), is tied for fifth in save mark (.931) and leads in shutouts (3).
Meanwhile, another former NOJHLer in goalkeeper Mike McIvor, is also listed with a ‘W Rating.’
McIvor saw limited action with the Powassan Voodoos last season, going 1-0-0-0 in two appearances.
The 18-year-old is currently 5-1-1-0 with the OHL’s North Bay Battalion with a 2.88 average and a save mark of .920.
