Goldman glorious as Rayside-Balfour rolls over Iroquois Falls

CHELMSFORD, Ont. – Otis Goldman scored four times for his sixth multi-goal night in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League play this season to help the Rayside-Balfour Canadians roll over the Iroquois Falls Eskis 7-2 Saturday at Chelmsford Arena.

The lone tally of the opening stanza came off the stick of Goldman at 16:45 while Rayside-Balfour was shorthanded.

He then made it 2-0 early in the middle session before Stuart Harley got Iroquois Falls on the board at 6:18 with his fourth of the season.

Jayme Forslund answered that seven minutes later for the Canadians as they restored their two-goal cushion heading into the final frame.

In the third, Matthew Neault made it 4-1 for the home side at 5:06 while his club was on the power play.

David Osborne’s team-best 28th tally in 2015-16 brought Eskis closer midway through the period before Goldman hit his hat trick at 13:03.

Rayside-Balfour came back and added another in quick order thanks to Sam Oden just 32 seconds later via the man advantage.

Goldman then finished off his four-goal evening at 17:25 to round out the night’s scoring.

Ryan Erickson dished out three assists for the Canadians in the decision.

Mackenzie Savard made 28 saves to post the win while Matthew Camilleri faced 40 attempts in defeat for Iroquois Falls.
