Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) No. 1 for 6th straight week in CJHL Top 20 Rankings
TORONTO – Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) stays at No. 1 for a sixth consecutive week in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, announced Monday.
Topping the 13-team Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League table with a solid 20-1-0-0 record, Collège Français have only allowed 42 tallies against to date and boast a LHJAAAQ-best goal differential of plus-72.
Winners of 12 consecutive contests, the Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL) remain at No. 2 in the rankings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service.
Niverville enters play this week having gone 18-1-0-0 overall to lead all Manitoba Junior Hockey League clubs, bolstered nicely by only having given up a MJHL-low 36 goals-against.
Leading the way in the Central Canada Hockey League are the No. 3 tabbed Rockland Nationals.
Rockland is on a solid 17-2-0-0 start to their campaign.
Boasting the best winning percentage in the 24-team Ontario Junior Hockey League at .826, the Trenton Golden Hawks are slotted at No. 4 in the national listings.
Having gone 11-1-0-2 since October 1, Trenton currently sits with an 18-3-0-2 overall mark.
Despite having a nine-game winning streak dashed Sunday evening, the Toronto Patriots (OJHL) round out the Top 5 in the rankings.
The Patriots still have an OJHL-high 21 victories to their credit, sitting 21-6-0-0 overall.
