BLIND RIVER, Ont. – The Heart Lumberjacks picked up a pair of tallies from Jack Robinson as part of a 6-2 road result over the Blind River Beavers Friday night in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action at the Blind River Community Centre.

Former Beavers’ forward Robinson put the visiting Lumberjacks in front 8:41 into the contest as he came in on the right wing and ripped a shot past Blind River starter Noah Tegelaar.

Hearst was then quick to tack on another as Mathieu Comeau notched another for the guests, moments later, as he spun in the left circle and picked the short side corner for his 17th tally of the campaign.

Moving to the middle frame, Daniel Vasic scored for a fifth straight outing to put the hosts on the board as the Beavers worked a nice play off a face off win that he finished off by firing one over the blocker of Hearst’s Russ Decoste off a Jesse Dupuis feed from behind the net.

The assist for Dupuis gives him points in a dozen straight games.

Into the third, the Lumberjacks were quick to extend their lead thanks to Tyler Patterson connecting 58 seconds as he finished off a crisp give-and-go with Comeau from the right side.

Converting off another won draw, Blind River pulled closer when Benjamin Armatage neatly tipped in an Adam Prax attempt from the left point.

Regrouping, Hearst struck twice in rapid succession midway through the stanza to help secure the road victory.

Bronson Babyak got the fourth for his club as he went in on a breakaway, then made a nice move to his left before scoring.

Robinson then added another less than a minute later by whipping one upstairs in transition.

An empty netter that hit off the stick of a Blind River skater was credited to the Lumberjacks’ DonHeaven Veilleux to wrap things up.

With the result, Hearst raises their record to 32-15-4-1 while with the loss, Blind River falls to 43-11-0-1.
