HEARST, Ont. – Artem Bortovskiy stopped all 25 shots he faced to post his second home shutout in as many starts as the Hearst Lumberjacks blanked the visiting Timmins Rock 5-0 Friday in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action at Claude Larose Arena.
Colin Boudreau collected his first NOJHL tally 8:50 into the contest as the eventual game-winner came during a Hearst power play.
The Lumberjacks added another before the first frame was complete thanks to Samuel Bourdages initial league marker late in the session.
Alec Johnson picked up another personal first goal 84 seconds into the middle stanza to put Hearst up by three entering the final period.
Max Griffioen then finished things off for the home side as he found the back of the net twice to wrap things up offensively.
Shadow Reuben dished out assists for the Lumberjacks in the triumph.
Brendan Bishop faced 35 shots in defeat for Timmins.
