NOJHL announces schedule for Powassan – Mattawa series
SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced today the schedule for the upcoming East Division quarter-final series between the Powassan Voodoos and the Mattawa Blackhawks.
The best-of-three affair is scheduled to get underway Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. with game 1 at the Powassan Sportsplex.
Game 2 is slated for Tuesday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Mike Rodden Arena.
Should a third and deciding contest be required, it will be held Thursday, March 12 back in Powassan with the opening face-off set for 7 p.m.
The winner of the series will meet the No. 1 seed in the NOJHL East, the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, in division semifinal.
Cochrane and Abitibi will square off in the other divisional semi.
Over in the NOJHL West, Sault Ste. Marie meets Blind River while Elliot Lake tangles with Sudbury.
Divisional semifinal play is scheduled to run March 13-25.
