NOJHL announces Timmins – Hearst series schedule

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Saturday the game schedule for its upcoming East Division Final between the Timmins Rock and the Hearst Lumberjacks.

As the higher seed, Timmins will have home-ice advantage to begin the best-of-seven affair, which will begin Tuesday at McIntyre Arena.

The Rock will also host Game 2, that is slated for Wednesday evening, with both of those contests getting underway at 7:30 p.m.

The match-up will then shift to Claude Larose Recreation Centre in Hearst for Games 3 & 4, Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, which feature start times of 7:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.

If a Game 5 is needed, it will be held in Timmins, on Monday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Then, if necessary, Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27 in Hearst at 7:30 p.m.

Should the series go the distance, the Rock would host it on Friday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m.

The winner will then take on either the Soo Thunderbirds, or Soo Eagles, for the NOJHL championship with the league title holder advancing to the Centennial Cup, next month in Estevan, Sask.
