NOJHL represented by Powassan Voodoos; Timmins Rock & Hearst Lumberjacks in CJHL rankings

CALGARY, Alta. – Rolling right along, the Brooks Bandits (AJHL) have now won 50 consecutive regular season contests dating back to last season and remain the No. 1 club in the latest version of the Canadian Junior Hockey League Top 20 rankings, announced Monday.

While Brooks needed a third period comeback and a seven-round shootout triumph over the No. 9 ranked Okotoks Oilers in one of their outings last week, they remain hot.

Surging along in Saskatchewan, the Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) have reeled off 10 straight victories, improving to 17-1 overall, and climb to No. 2 in the country.

Boasting nine consecutive decisions themselves, the Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL) are slotted No. 3 in the 131-team CJHL this week and are 17-1 overall in Alberta.

Another stellar run has the Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) extended a winning streak to 15 to remain No. 4 nationally.

Joining the Top 5 this week, College Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) are 12-1 in Quebec with their .923 winning percentage pacing the pack in that 12-team loop.

Rounding out the Top 10 are the Toronto Patriots (OJHL) 6th; Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) 7th; Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL) 8th; Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) 9th and the Wellington Dukes (OJHL) 10th.
