NOJHL’s Beavers up to 12th in latest CJHL rankings

CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Monday that the Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) have been tabbed the new No. 1 rated side in its latest edition of the Top 20 Rankings.

In moving into top spot in the latest listings, concluding Oct. 9, the soaring Stars have reeled off 10 consecutive victories, without defeat, to begin play this season under head coach and general manager Brayden Klimosko in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Another unbeaten team, the Princeville Titan (LHJAAAQ) move to No. 2 in the 118-team CJHL.

Princeville bench boss Guillaume St-Denis also sees his squad at 10-0 on the ice in Quebec.

Up to No. 3 this week are the Humboldt Broncos (SJHL), where head coach and GM Scott Barney has his club also having yet to taste defeat on the campaign at 8-0.

Over in the Maritimes, Billy McGuigan’s Summerside Western Capitals (MHL) are back at it after dealing with some game postponements and other after affects from Hurricane Fiona. They are 5-0 to date and are slotted No. 4 in the nation this week.

Rounding out the Top 5 are the Collingwood Blues (OJHL), who despite suffering their initial setback over the weekend, are still a solid 10-1 while being guided by coach Andrew Campoli.
