SUDBURY, Ont. – The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce they have entered into an affiliation agreement with the Espanola Paper Kings of the NOJHL for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
“We are excited to announce our affiliation with Jason and Marc and the rebranded Espanola Paper Kings for the 2022-2023 season,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau. “Espanola has done a great job over the past few seasons in developing players for the next level of hockey. Having a place for us to develop some of our young players in the North is very important to us. Espanola is a terrific community with all the services to support the players both on and off the ice. It is just a short drive down Highway 17 and Espanola has a rich hockey history that we look forward to building on with the Paper Kings this season.”
“The Espanola Paper Kings are excited to enter into an affiliation agreement with the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League,” said Jason Rapcewicz, Paper Kings Owner, and Coach. “We are excited and ready for the opportunity to assist in the development of Sudbury Wolves draft picks. The Wolves organization does a great job at identifying high-end hockey players and we are excited that they have entrusted us in assisting with the development process. We would like to thank the Sudbury Wolves for the opportunity and look forward to a strong quality relationship. This is a great day for the newly rebranded Paper Kings.”
“Sudbury is a great hockey town, and we are looking forward to the special relationship we will have with the club,” added Espanola GM Marc Gagnon.
Espanola recently rebranded this past summer and will open their season at home on September 9th.
Three members of the Paper Kings are expected to attend the Wolves training camp next week, including Atley Gringorten, Kobe Braham and Graydon Guthrie. More information on training camp schedules and rosters will be available to the public on Friday.
