Pair of games added to NOJHL preseason slate

SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that a pair of exhibition contests have been added to its preseason schedule.

The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners and Iroquois Falls Eskis will play a weekend home-and-home near the end of August.

Action between the two sides will commence Friday, Aug. 28 at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex in Kirkland Lake at 7:30 p.m.

The mini two-game set will then conclude Saturday, Aug. 29 in Iroquois Falls at Jus Jordan Arena and will also feature a 7:30 p.m. start.

These games will feature the first two preseason affairs for the newly minted Eskis while for the 2016 Dudley-Hewitt Cup host Gold Miners, it’s part of five exhibition contests the club has on the docket.
