Powassan Voodoos to hold free agent camp
POWASSAN — New Voodoos head coach Scott Wray and GM Chris Dawson will be pounding the pavement looking for free agent and graduating players at the organization’s first ever free agent camp coming up in July.
Voodoos Scouts
The Voodoos are busy finding players along with adding more hockey operations staff.
The Voodoos have added Glen Huard as the team’s Director of Scouting, while Heath Marson will be on board as a Northern Ontario Scout.
Both Huard and Marson worked with Dawson at the same capacity with the North Bay Jr. Trappers last season.
Former Temiscaming Royals forward Cole Workman, who just finished his playing career at Finlandia University (NCAA D III), will join the team as the Director of USA Scouting while Vincent Pietrangelo, who is a high school assistant coach in Michigan, has jumped on as a USA Scout.
“These gentlemen will work hard to help us build a very competitive first camp for our hockey club,” said Voodoos GM Chris Dawson.
“On top of that, we expect to have a handful of Battalion draft picks and prospects up at the camp as well.”
