Rivermen to host 1st Annual “Pink in the Rink” game

ESPANOLA –  Friday, November 1 will mark a very special annual event held at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex in support of two worthy local causes.

The Espanola Rivermen will host their first-ever “Pink in the Rink” game in support of  the Canadian Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a home contest vs. the Abitibi Eskimos.

Proceeds from the Rivermen’s 1st Annual “Pink in the Rink” game will be earmarked locally to purchase prosthetics and prosthetic bras for women who need financial support during such a challenging time.

In addition, Pink in the Rink will contribute to the Rivermen’s on-going season ticket drive in support of the Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation.

Team Administrator, Denise Gelineau, who is spearheading the club’s “Pink in the Rink” game holds the cause very dear to her heart.

“I am so excited the team is getting behind both of these great causes,” offered Gelineau.

“It’s going to be a very exciting evening here in Espanola for all North Shore junior hockey fans,” added Gelineau.

“We have so many fun things planned; Pink in the Rink Game worn Jersey Auctions, pink cupcakes, a silent Sports Memorabilia Auction presented by ProGraphs Montreal and a great hockey game in support of two wonderfully worthy causes.”

Wear pink & join us Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. for “Pink in the Rink” at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
