CALGARY, Alta. – Having skated to five consecutive victories while improving to 29-3-0 overall, the Brooks Bandits (AJHL) return to the No. 1 slot in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top 20 Rankings, released Monday.
The 2019 Canadian National Jr. A Championship-host Bandits also boast an impressive .906 winning percentage so far this season.
With nine wins in succession and a .929 win mark to their credit the 19-1-1 Thunder Bay North Stars (SIJHL) stay No. 2 nationally for another week in the 133-team CJHL.
Topping the table in the OJHL, the Oakville Blades had a win and just their fourth overall setback last week, but are still an impressive 25-2-1-2 as they are tabbed No. 3 in the country.
Meanwhile a pair of surging MHL sides in the Yarmouth Jr. A Mariners and Summerside Western Capitals are both 9-1 in their past 10 as they moved up to No. 4 and No. 5 respectively in the rankings as the two clubs are both playing well over .800 hockey as we near the holiday break.
The weekly CJHL rankings are compiled by an independent scouting service, which uses a variety of factors to determine the national listings.
