Thunderbirds – Eskimos partial semifinal schedule announced
SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday the schedule for the first four games of the upcoming semifinal series between then No. 1 Soo Thunderbirds and the No. 4 Abitibi Eskimos.
This best-of-seven affair will commence Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie with game 1.
Game 2 is then slated for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. back at Essar Centre.
The series will then shift to Jus Jordan Arena in Iroquois Falls for games 3 and 4 Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3 respectively. Opening face-off each night is slated for 7:30 p.m.
The dates for games 5 through 7 in the series, if any or all are necessary, have yet to be officially confirmed as they are subject to potential date conflicts at Essar Centre with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League and their upcoming playoff contests.
The NOJHL will announce the dates and times for games 5 through 7, if required, as soon as they are finalized.
