TIMMINS, Ont. – Brady Harroun tallied twice, including supplying the game-winner, to help pace the Timmins Rock to a 5-1 triumph over the Hearst Lumberjacks in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League play Tuesday evening at McIntyre Arena.

Timmins connected just over two minutes into the match-up as Justin Charette redirected a Liam Wells attempt on net past Hearst starter Matteo Genaro from between the hash marks.

The Rock tacked on another in the latter stages of the first period when Harroun corralled a Lucas Piekarczyk set-up from behind the net and jammed it into the right corner at 16:22.

Moving to the second period, the Lumberjacks got on the board at 3:11 as Cody Walker finished off a nice two-on-one to perfection with teammate Brayden Palfi, leaving Timmins netminder Patrick Boivin with little chance.

Going to the power play, Timmins got that back when Harroun whistled one over the glove of Gennaro from the right circle.

A fourth Rock marker on the night came in the final moments of the second when Nicholas Frederick won a race down the ice on a shorthanded break down the right wing and promptly converted with a nice shot.

With a chance to extend their lead in the final frame, Nicolas Pigeon was obstructed on a break and awarded a penalty shot, however the Hearst stopper stood tall and foiled him on his attempt.

Timmins did add another at 7:47 though when Nolan Ring battled along the end boards and sent a feed up top where Kenyon Nyman moved in from the point and whipped in his first NOJHL goal, to cap off the night’s scoring.

The victory helped unbeaten Timmins improve to 3-0 early on the year while Hearst slipped to 1-2.
