7 NOJHLers among CJHL goal leaders

TORONTO – As play in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) nears its holiday break, a plethora of players have had little difficulty in scoring so far this season.

So far on the campaign, 33 forwards have notched 20, or more, goals for their respective CJHL clubs across the nine-member leagues.

Pacing that contingent are Gabriel Le Houillier (Rockland Nationals/CCHL); Cameron Menard (Espanola Paper Kings/NOJHL) and Jalen Bianchet (Whitecourt Wolverines/AJHL).

Le Houillier and Menard have supplied 30 tallies apiece, while Bianchet is right behind them at 29.

Through 29 contests, Le Houillier has five of his markers on the power play for Rockland and five have been game-winners.

As for Espanola’s Menard, eight of his goals have come via the man advantage, and he too has five deciders to his credit.

Bianchet meanwhile has registered his totals in 28 outings with Whitecourt; has banged in 10 tallies with his squad up a skater and has chipped in with a trio of game-winners.
