Espanola’s Dubchak named Gongshow Gear player of the month for November
SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday that Brennen Dubchak of the Espanola Rivermen has been named the Gongshow Gear Inc. player of the month for November.
In nine games during the month that was the 20-year-old native of Kenora, Ont., had points in each of them racking up 20 in total on four goals and 16 assists.
Among his tallies was a game-winner in double overtime and he also chipped in by setting up three more winning markers last month.
On the season Dubchak is currently riding a 10-game point streak and sits second overall in NOJHL offensive production with 44 points.
He is also tied for second in the league in goals, assists and power play tallies with 20, 24 and six respectively.
Dubchak will be recognized on-ice prior to an upcoming home game with a gift pack courtesy of Gongshow Gear Inc., the NOJHL’s official lifestyle hockey apparel partner.
Also earning consideration for the monthly accolades were Soo Thunderbirds goaltender Joel Horodziejczyk and Kirkland Lake Gold Miners forward Samuel Wilbur.
