SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Thursday that Nicolas Pigeon, (F) Timmins Rock; Alex Little, (D) Powassan Voodoos; Jacob Brown, (G) Timmins Rock and Brodie McConnell-Barker, (D) Soo Thunderbirds have been named its Forward; Defenceman; Goaltender and Rookie of the Month, respectively, for November.
FORWARD OF THE MONTH: NICOLAS PIGEON, (F) TIMMINS ROCK – In 10 outings last month, where the Rock racked up a record of 9-0-0-1, the Timmins captain had points in all of them, registering 20 in total.
In all, the 20-year-old Aylmer, Que., product tallied five times and helped set-up 15 others for the NOJHL East Division-leaders.
Currently riding a 12-game point streak, and having etched his name on the game sheet in 16 of his past 17 contests, Pigeon enters December leading the league in offensive production with a career single-season best 48 points, on 10 goals and 38 assists.

DEFENCEMAN OF THE MONTH: ALEX LITTLE, (D) POWASSAN VOODOOS – Playing at a point-per-game clip in November, the 19-year-old blueliner from Minden, Ont., provided three markers and helped on five others in the time frame, which saw Powassan take to the ice eight times.
Little is easily on pace to establish personal bests in one season in terms of tallies, assists and points.
Sitting second in NOJHL scoring among defencemen, with 26 points, the Voodoos boast a 15-1-1-0 mark in games in which he has contributed offensively. His efforts at both ends of the ice have also resulted in the club go 13-2-1-0 in their past 16 games.

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH: JACOB BROWN, (G) TIMMINS ROCK – A solid run for the rookie netminder saw him go 4-0-0-1 with a crisp 1.18 goals-against average and an equally solid save percentage of .944.
Brown also posted three shutouts in November to help move him into a share of the league-lead of four, with Blind River’s Charlie Burns.
The 16-year-old from Yarker, Ont., has gone 7-1-1-2 in his rookie season to date and leads all NOJHL stoppers in goals-against average at 1.70 and is third in terms of save percentage at .924.

ROOKIE OF THE MONTH: BRODIE MCCONNELL-BARKER, (D) SOO THUNDERBIRDS – In bolstering the back-end of the Thunderbirds, McConnell-Barker picked up 10 points in eight games for Sault Ste. Marie last month.
The 16-year-old from London, Ont., notched two goals and assisted on eight others for the Thunderbirds and presently paces all rookie rearguards in point-per-game average at 1.18.
McConnell-Barker is also on a five-game point streak for the Soo and has at least one in eight of his last nine contests.
