Rivermen add championship experience to coaching staff

ESPANOLA – The Espanola Rivermen Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club are very pleased to announce the addition of Scott Ginson to our organization, where Scott will play a dual role as an Associate Coach and Director of Player Development having additional responsibilities that include coaching, development & player future advancement.

Club Governor/Director of Operations Tim Clayden commented on the team addition of Scott Ginson to the Rivermen Staff.

“Scottie has an untapped wealth of experience at this level, both in coaching and management. His coaching career is checkered with championships both at the League & Dudley-Hewitt Cup level and as a Silver-Medalist at the RBC Cup National Championships,”offered Clayden.

“I have no doubt Scott will compliment both our management team and Coach McCarthy,” added Clayden. “We are a better hockey club today with the addition of Scott Ginson to the Rivermen.”

“I’m very excited to join the Espanola Riverman junior hockey organization and to be back in the NOJHL, and especially to be joining an organization that has a proven record of success” said Ginson.

“My wife was born on Manitoulin Island and we spend alot of time in the area, both working and visiting family and friends so I know first hand how much this hockey crazed region longs for the return of junior ‘A’ hockey.”

Club Vice President Dean Pauli also weighed in on the addition of Scott Ginson to the organization.

“I have known Scott for some time now and have experienced first hand the excitement and enthusiasm that he brings to an organization.” said Pauli. “we have worked together attending many NOJHL Governor meetings where Scott adds knowledge and first hand Championship experience to the league, the game and now our team . We are fortunate to add a man of Scott’s experience to our hockey club.” added Pauli.

Ginson also added, “I am certain under the leadership of Tim Clayden the Rivermen are here to stay in the Region and the Town of Espanola for many years to come and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to join this new area team.”

Ginson can be contacted directly by calling (705) 207-4150 or by email at directorofplayerdevelopment@espanolajuniorhockey.com.
