Bobcats’ Wagner earn honourable mention for CJHL 3 Stars of the month

SUDBURY – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced today that Elliot Lake Bobcats forward Brett Wagner earned honourable mention laurels for the CJHL 3 Stars of the month award for January.

Wagner, was who named the most recent Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League player of the month, was recognized for his efforts that saw him amass 20 points in 10 games by tallying 11 times and doling out nine assists.

On the 2013-14 campaign the 21-year-old Centennial, Colo., native leads Elliot Lake in offensive production with 68 points, which is the fifth best total in the NOJHL.

Wagner is also second in the league in goals with 34 as well in shorthanded markers with nine.

Garnering CJHL 3 Stars of the month honours were defenceman Trey Phillips (9 GP, 3 G, 9 A, 12 PTS) of the Canmore Eagles (AJHL) along with forwards Nathan Todd (11 GP, 7 G, 11 A, 18 PTS) of the Brockville Braves (CCHL) and Daniel Del Paggio (12 GP, 12 G, 15 A, 27 PTS) of the Thunder Bay North Stars (SIJHL).
