SUDBURY, Ont. – The French River Rapids saw Will Frustaglio tally twice while Levi Siau had a goal and two assists to help lead their side to a 5-2 triumph over the Espanola Express Wednesday at the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Showcase in Sudbury.
Hunter Brazier put the Rapids in front just past the six-minute mark of the first period only to see Espanola strike twice later in the session to go in front on power play markers courtesy of Collin McGuire and Chase Lammi.
Frustaglio tied it midway through the middle session then picked up the eventual game-winner with 54 seconds left in the stanza as he clicked during a man advantage opportunity.
French River then put the game away in the third getting goals from Ryan Smith and Siau to secure the victory.
Kevin Donaghey made 23 stops to record the win for the Rapids while Joel Rainville faced 41 shots in defeat for the Express.
