Markham Royals (OJHL) still No. 1 in CJHL Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade

TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Monday that the Markham Royals (OJHL) remain No. 1 for a second straight week in the latest Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade for the period beginning October 5.

Continuing to crown opponents in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Royals have reeled off 12 consecutive victories to commence their campaign.

Another unbeaten squad, Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) come in slotted at No. 2 in the 116-team CJHL.

Collège Français tops the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League table at 8-0-0-0.

This includes having only given up an impressive LHJAAAQ-low nine goals-against to date.

Earning the No. 3 nod in the weekly listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Truro Bearcats (MHL).

Pacing the 12 clubs that comprise the Maritime Junior Hockey League, Truro has started off 6-0-0-0 and sport a solid plus-18 goal differential.

You then have the Kemptville 73’s (CCHL) tabbed in at No. 4.

Kemptville have yet to suffer a defeat in regulation time, going 6-0-1-0 to begin competition on the Central Canada Hockey League.

Positioned in at No. 5 nationally are the Collingwood Blues (OJHL).

The Blues have hit plenty of positive notes, having just one setback on their ledger as they hold down a 10-1-0-0 mark overall.
