Soo Eagles get early test vs. US U-17 side

SUDBURY, Ont. – While the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League continues to wait it out on various return to play scenarios, one-member club is set to get a quality test beginning this evening at Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

Tonight, the Soo Eagles will take on the United States National Development Team Program’s under-17 squad beginning at 7 p.m.

The Eagles will also go up against the Team USA U-17s Wednesday at 7 p.m., back at Pullar Stadium.

Facing a formidable foe, the Soo’s opponent already boasts a plethora of NCAA Division I commitments as well as a group of players who are highly touted for upcoming NHL Drafts.

While COVID-19 health and safety protocols remain in effect, this evening’s contest can be viewed online, on a pay-per-view basis, via hockeytv.com.
