Sudbury – Blind River game postponed due to highway closure

SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced that tonight’s scheduled game between the Sudbury Nickel Barons and Blind River Beavers at McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff has been postponed due to Highway 17 being closed as there was a major accident that prevented Blind River from travelling to the game.

A make-up date for the contest will be announced once finalized.

Next up on the NOJHL docket has a pair of contests scheduled Friday as the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners host the Powassan Voodoos at 7:30 p.m. while Sudbury travels to Elliot Lake to take on the Wildcats in an 8 p.m. start.

Of note, the Cochrane – Mattawa game originally scheduled for Friday while now be played Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at the Tim Horton Event Centre.
