NOJHL’s Cubs & Voodoos back into CJHL Top 20 rankings

TORONTO – Following a topsy-turvy week where a number of the highly-rated Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) clubs suffered setbacks, the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) have emerged as the new No. 1 in the latest Top 20 Rankings, released Monday.

Flin Flon presently tops the table in the 12-team Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with a 13-1-1-0 record, while having registered a SJHL-best 79 goals, so far this season.

Retaining their hold at No. 2 nationally in the 122-team CJHL this week are the Collingwood Blues (OJHL).

The Blues boast a solid 17-2-0-0 mark entering November and have only allowed an impressive 26 goals-against in that span.

Another SJHL club, the Humboldt Broncos, are tabbed No. 3 nationally, in the listings that are compiled by an independent scouting service.

With their 10-0-2-1 record to date, Humboldt have yet to lose in regulation time.

Moving to No. 4 are perennial CJHL-power, the Brooks Bandits (AJHL).

Brooks have gone 9-1 in their past 10 outings and improved to 15-2-0-0 overall to take over first place in the Alberta Junior Hockey League standings.

The Winkler Flyers (MJHL) round out the Top 5 this week.

Despite a pair of recent setbacks, 10-1-0-1 Winkler still has the best winning percentage in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, at .875 and have only given up a MJHL-low 19 tallies against.
