SUDBURY, Ont. – National Hockey League Central Scouting released Friday afternoon an updated version of its Players to Watch List as a prelude to the 2021 NHL Draft and the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League is represented.
Rayside-Balfour Canadians centre Nick DeGrazia was tabbed with a ‘B’ rating, as a potential second or third round selection in the upcoming draft.
Last season’s NOJHL rookie of the year and a first team all-star has 76 points, including 39 goals, in 56 career NOJHL contests with the Canadians.
Three NOJHL alumni were also among those on the NHL scouting list.
Former Powassan Voodoos netminder Joe Vrbetic also earned a ‘B’ rating as did Chase Stillman, who saw time in the league previously with Rayside-Balfour.
You also had Jack Matier garnering a ‘C’ rating. He had a brief stint with the Soo Thunderbirds earlier in his junior career.
