NOJHL standout Masternak commits to NCAA D-III Wisconsin-Stout

SUDBURY, Ont. – The University of Wisconsin-Stout announced Friday that Timmins Rock standout netminder Tyler Masternak has committed to attend the NCAA Division III school and player for the Blue Devils men’s hockey program.

The 21-year-old Masternak starred in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League for four seasons where he established multiple records, including setting the NOJHL mark for career shutouts with 18.

In 117 league appearances, the Oshawa, Ont., product 74 victories, against 31 defeats and one setback in extra time.

This includes sporting a 37-7-1 run in his final 45 NOJHL appearances.

Masternak also registered a 2.22 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.

UW-Stout competes out of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
