Battling back, Elliot Lake countered with strikes from Eric Vanderhoff and Robert Carr in rapid succession to knot the affair at 2-2.
Late in the period, Owen Shier put Timmins back on top as his first of the campaign put the home side up after 40 minutes.
In the third, the Rock tacked on three more markers to help secure the decision as Riley Robitaille, Josh Anderson and Cameron Kosurko all scored to finish things off.
Chipping in with two assists for the wining side was captain Derek Seguin.
Vance Meyer made 17 stops to pick up the win for Timmins while the Wildcats’ Parker Simpson was peppered with 68 shots in defeat.
