SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday a pair of games have been postponed due to the Powassan Voodoos’ roster being undermanned while dealing with a recent bout of the flu.
This has resulted in Powassan’s two contests this weekend, tonight versus Espanola, and Sunday against French River being called off.
“The health of everyone associated with the NOJHL, be it our players, coaching staffs, officials and our loyal fans, remains paramount and thus the decision to postpone these two games, until a later date, is certainly the safest and most prudent thing to do,” stated league commissioner Robert Mazzuca.
The make-up dates for these two games will be announced by the league office once they are finalized.
