Voodoos to host Spring Prospects Camp

POWASSAN — The Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League will be holding their first Spring Prospects Camp, April 18-19 at the North Bay Memorial Gardens.

Registration will take place on Friday, April 17.

Chris Dawson, Voodoos General Manager and VP of Hockey Operations says the organization is thrilled to have a camp on the home ice of their Ontario Hockey League affiliate team, the North Bay Battalion.

“It should be an exciting camp,” said Dawson.

“Our scouts have done a great job selling our program to players across Ontario and beyond this season,” offered Dawson.

“We hope to have a good mix of out-of-town players and we hope to see some of our quality, home-grown talent on the ice with us as well,” added the Voodoos GM.

Powassan, who sit in 4th spot in the NOJHL East Division, have worked hard to develop their players in the organization’s first year in the Junior ‘A’ NOJHL.

“We’ve had two players commit to NCAA schools already and our OHL picks are being utilized as affiliate players as well,” stated Dawson.

The camp will be available for 1999 to 1995 birth year players.

Interested players are asked to bring a permission to skate form.

Interested participants are asked to email Voodoos GM Chris Dawson at GM@voodooshockey.com or call (705) 497-4371 for more information.
