BLIND RIVER, Ont. – Blind Rivers Beavers captain Caleb Serre continued his early torrid pace to the start of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League campaign as he tallied twice and assisted on two others in a 4-1 victory over the Soo Thunderbirds Friday at the Blind River Community Centre.

With both clubs entering the contest undefeated at 2-0, it was Blind River that continued their winning streak in the triumph.

Serre started the scoring at 8:37 with the hosts up by two skaters.

Continuing to click on the power play, Blind River saw Lucas Adams strike twice in the frame to put his team up by three.

Sault Ste. Marie did get on the board before the second was complete though with Stephen Pszeniczny picking up his initial NOJHL marker to make it 3-1 after 40 minutes.

Serre then aided in securing the decision 4:24 into the third to round out the night’s scoring.

Also having a huge night for Blind River was Justin Mauro who dished out four assists in the victory.

Shots on goal were close with the Beavers holding a 32-31 edge.
