BLIND RIVER, Ont. – The Iroquois Falls Eskis got two goals in each of the game’s three periods to pull out a 6-1 triumph over the Blind River Beavers Saturday in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League encounter at the Blind River Community Centre.

Iroquois Falls would make it 2-0 10 minutes after that as Jacob Erwin notched his ninth of the campaign to put the visitors up a pair after one.

Luciani extended the visitors lead midway through the game and Garry Mindus made it 4-0 picking up his third at 14:46.

Blind River got on the board five minutes into the final frame as Max Khull scored for the fifth time for the Beavers.

Special teams allowed the Eskis to answer Khull’s effort thanks to Brett Ouderkirk power play effort at 6:10.

Iroquois Falls then capped off the road victory with 3:51 to go as Dalton Bruce secured his first goal in an Eskis uniform to round out the scoring.

With the result the Eskis improved their record to 5-13-0-0 on the season while the Beavers slipped to 3-16-1-0.
