Select NOJHL games to be rebroadcast free of charge

 

SUDBURY, Ont. – Fans of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League will have additional opportunities to watch selected NOJHL contests, free of charge, each week via HockeyTV.

These games will be free for to anyone to view online, with an active HockeyTV account, regardless of subscription status.

All the broadcasts from this season are in high definition, which brings top quality streaming throughout, along with some of the top broadcasters of Jr. A hockey from northern Ontario providing all the play-by-play action.

“This partnership with our friends at HockeyTV allows our fans the chance to once again witness the excellence of our on-ice product,” offered NOJHL commissioner Robert Mazzuca on today’s announcement.

“It also provides schools in Canada and the U.S., as well as major junior scouts, an additional opportunity to see potential prospects for our league in action,” added Mazzuca.

“We are very pleased to offer this service in cooperation with HockeyTV as we all work together in these difficult times and do our part to stay safe with social distancing and supporting all the frontline workers and everyone one dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The initial NOJHL HockeyTV complimentary broadcast features the thrilling February 21st match-up between the top two clubs in the league’s 2019-20 regular season standings, the Powassan Voodoos and Timmins Rock, that was played in front of 1,232 spectators at McIntyre Arena.
